Michael was a new artist to us. This comes with risks, how will they come across to the audience, will they engage or simply play music. You have invited them because you like their music style and sound but there is still that unknown element.
From the moment Michael and Tom arrived to set up, we knew our anxieties were unfounded.
The more than 20 people attending enjoyed the music, the story, the interplay between Michael and Tom. Tom’s mandolin playing, brought a beautiful addition to the timbre of the music. Wow.
It was one of those evenings that just went in too quickly.
As the notes of the last song faded out, the people called for more. To their delight, Alison, Michael’s wife, stepped out of the audience and joined in on the last song for an encore!
